After you are sentenced for a felony conviction you may be eligible to have the felony reduced to a misdemeanor. In order to be eligible your felony offense must have been what is called a "wobbler" and prison could not have been a part of the sentence, even if it was a suspended prison sentence.
If you have already had your felony conviction expunged or are in the process of having it expunged then the felony conviction can still be reduced.
