List of Felony Wobblers

In order to file for a reduction to a misdemeanor, the charge that you are convicted of must be a wobbler. Below is a list of most wobblers in California. A wobbler is an offense that the statute says can result in a sentence of jail or prison. To determine if the statute says it can result in a sentence of jail or prison, you must read the punishment listed in the code section for the year you were convicted. If you were convicted of a felony that is a wobbler in California and were not sentenced to state prison (even if it was suspended), you may be eligible for a conviction reduction and expungement. Even if you were sentenced to only jail or just probation, the offense still may not be a wobbler and you are not eligible for reduction. Take our free eligibility test to see if you qualify for record clearing.
